Mt Eden Community
The suburb of Mt Eden is situated five kilometres south of the centre of Auckland City. It is a vibrant community centred around the Mt Eden Village, a charming shopping area with many small shops, cafes and restaurants.
Mt Eden prides itself in arts and culture, education, health and wellbeing, as well as sport and recreation. Mt Eden offers wonderful walks around Maungawhau (Mount Eden), a volcano whose summit is 196 metres above sea level. The summit is the highest natural point on the Auckland isthmus offering visitors a spectacular view of Auckland.
