Mt Eden Rotary

Mt Eden Rotary started in July 1997. The club's key objective is to make our community a better place. We participate in a number of projects and events. If this interests you, please join us.



If you are interested in joining us, or finding out more about us, you are very welcome to attend.

Mt Eden Rotary normally meets most Tuesday evenings, usually at a local venue, and usually at 6.30pm. Check out our latest meeting information on facebook here. Visitors are very welcome.


Mt Eden Rotary undertakes projects in the following core Rotary areas:

1 basic education and literacy

2 disease prevention and treatment

3 economic and community development

4 maternal and child health

5 peace and conflict prevention/resolution

6 water and sanitation


Mt Eden Rotary also contributes to core Rotary programmes:

1 End Polio Now (to finish the fight for global polio eradication);

2 Emergency Response Kits (ERKs) for use in civil disasters in developing countries; and

3 Youth programmes

Projects undertaken include the Rock'N'Rotary "End Polio Build Peace" Flash Mob dance, the Charity Art Auction fundraiser for Māpura Studios Stroke Art Therapy research programme, and Dictionaries in Schools and Prisons.

Rotary History

Rotary International has a rich history. Its goal is to unite leaders from all continents, cultures, and occupations to exchange ideas and take action in communities around the world.

Rotary International has worked worldwide on projects for more than 100 years.
